The Homer Fastpitch Academy at 595 Ocean Drive Loop will be dedicated to personalized lessons and instruction for youth Fastpitch players in the Southern Kenai Peninsula Area. They will work on specifics of Hitting, Pitching, Throwing and Fielding using a more structured environment to prepare for competitive play.
There will be two different levels of the Academy. The Blue Level will be our traditional winter approach of players showing up to hone skills as their schedule allows. This may be by request or by scheduled groups depending on interest.
The Gold Level focus is for the dedicated, committed player who will make HFA part of her schedule – at least twice a week for an hour each time. This will also include dedicated time for self-practice at home.
Full time availability for instruction will begin in early October 2026 but times are currently available through August. I have found that meaningful progress requires at least two dedicated practice sessions a week, whether at the Academy or at home, so all Gold Level attendees will be asked to commit to that minimum of focused time.
