Congratulations

Congratulations to the Women’s basketball Team for finishing strong. It was great to watch you all working together, playing hard and not giving up. Way to come on strong during Regions.  We look forward to building on that energy to take Softball forward.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARENT MEETING HAS BEEN MOVED TO  MARCH 18th 6pm,  HHS  LIBRARY

It Starts -2022

We are very excited to be starting into 2022. Plans are being made and the official start on March 2nd is right around the corner. If anyone is interested in joining the pre-season workouts on Sundays, under the auspices of USA/Softball-Alaska, please contact us. If you have thoughts about the upcoming season, please share.

2021 Addendum

In summarizing the season I forgot to mention that we had a 4-Peat, winning the Northern Lights Region Tournament for the fourth ( and every) year since it was initiated. Also added another Regular season conference win. Three players as First Team All Conference- Grace, Hannah and Zoe.  One player to All State Tourney Team- Hayley and Grace making her second appearance on the All-West Region NFCA Second team honors as an Outfielder. All in all a very positive recovery from the disappointment of losing the 2020 season.

End of Season Summary

State Tournament- Beat North Pole in the first game of Pool Pay- winning 15-12. Next game of Pool play lost to Juneau 11-19 and were second in our pool.  Opened Double elimination against Delta Huskies and won 13-4 . Next played Ketchikan and lost not only by a score of 10-12 but also lost our franchise Third baseman to an injury while pursuing a foul ball.  Then played North Pole again, taking a 9 run lead into the last inning but seeing it evaporate in the heat of the day, our third game and new personnel. Lost in the extra inning Tie Breaker. Overall a very successful season with our new players, team work and growth.

A temporary Hiatus

With a small bit of covid sneaking into our dugout we are on temporary hold. Hoping to restart the season on Thursday in Soldotna and with our Bash on the Bay tournament on May 21-22

Season Update

Schedule has changed slightly with the Blue-Gold Tournament being dropped from the schedule with Covid Restrictions.  Houston will now be playing down here on May 12th.  Please follow on Team Manager App for current games and Live Game Streaming – when our IT folks get it working.

It Begins

We are crashing into the season.  I will keep the Schedule up to date and use the Practice Schedule to cover travel plans into the future as I know them. It is going to be non-stop from this point forward. Hang on and enjoy the ride.

Season Update

A great group of players,  skilled veterans and new players that are anxious to learn and doing really well. Team has decided our motto is “Dedicated to Improvement ” and they are certainly improving by the hour in practice. #D2I    Parent Meeting notes are on the parent page, Schedule is getting filled in though it obviously hangs by a thread at all times. Paperwork is slowly getting turned in. We teach to only control what you can control but that does not keep us from muttering about the weather. One day we will be outside, in the warmth, on green grass. For now, we would settle for mud and jackets. On we go…
